Kolkata Knight Riders moved up to fourth place in the points table after a thumping seven-wicket win against Mumbai Indians in Match 34 of IPL 2021. They were at seventh place when the tournament resumed in the UAE, only above bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad, but back-to-back huge victories helped them to improve their net run rate. Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai also have eight points each, but Kolkata rank ahead of them due to a better net run rate.
Delhi Capitals remain at the top, with seven wins and three defeats. If Chennai Super Kings manage to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 35 of the IPL 2021, they will reclaim the top spot, as they have a better net run rate than any other franchise.
