Royal Challengers Bangalore handed Rajasthan Royals their first defeat of the Indian Premier League 2022. They chased 170 with four wickets and five balls in hand. Jos Buttler followed his century with an unbeaten 70, and Shimron Hetmyer got 42 in 31 balls as Rajasthan finished on 169/3.
Bangalore were reduced to 87/5 in response, but Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed then added 67 runs for the sixth wicket to take them across the target.
Despite the defeat, Rajasthan continue to remain at the top of the points table. They are followed by Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans. Sunrisers Hyderabad, winless so far, languish at the bottom.
