All-rounder Washington Sundar is questionable for India's tour of Zimbabwe, where the side will play three ODIs, as he recently injured his shoulder during a List A game in Manchester, England.

On Saturday morning, the Indian squad, captained by KL Rahul, would depart for Zimbabwe under the direction of VVS Laxman. However, due to his fitness, Sundar, who was scheduled to travel to Harare from the UK, appears to be a dubious possibility, according to a Cricbuzz report.

On Wednesday at Old Trafford, Sundar hurt his left shoulder while diving on the field during a Royal London One-Day match between Lancashire and Worcestershire.

He was representing the Lancashire County Cricket Club, which published an update on social media.

According to a tweet from Lancashire County Cricket Club, "@Sundarwashi5 has left the field after receiving treatment on his left shoulder following a heavy landing (sic)."

While Rahul Dravid, the team's normal coach, is away on a two-month tour of England, the West Indies, and the United States, NCA director Laxman has been requested to lead the team. Sairaj Bahutule and Hrishikesh Kanitkar are two more members of the support crew making the trip to Harare.

Notably, Rahul was a last-minute addition to the 15-person team that Shikhar Dhawan served as captain of. Rahul was reportedly recruited at Dravid's request in order to give the batter crucial match experience before the Asia Cup, which follows the Zimbabwe games.

On August 18, 20 and 22, at the Harare Sports Club, India will play three one-day internationals as part of the ICC Super League. Recently, Zimbabwe has been playing well, defeating Bangladesh at home in ODI and Twenty20 international series that ended on August 10.
