Sunrisers Hyderabad's fast bowler T. Natarajan has tested positive for the coronavirus, on Wednesday, 22 September. Natarajan returned positive for the scheduled RT-PCR test conducted in the morning, ahead of a match against Delhi Capitals.

Natarajan is currently asymptomatic and has been isolated from the squad. Vijay Shankar and five support staff – team manager Vijay Kumar, physiotherapist Shyam Sundar J., doctor Anjana Vannan, logistics manager Tushar Khedkar, and net bowler Periyasamy Ganesan – have also been isolated, since they were in close contact with Natarajan.

However, the rest of the contingent has tested negative in the RT-PCR test. The match will go on as scheduled. Sunrisers Hyderabad are at the bottom of the points table.
