Harshal Patel has left the Indian Premier League 2022 bio-bubble after the demise of his sister. He received the news soon after playing the match against Mumbai Indians, on 9 April.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will sorely miss his presence. He had won the Purple Cap last year, and has been in excellent form this year. 'Unfortunately, Harshal had to leave the bio-bubble due to a death in his family. It was his sister. He did not take the team bus back to Mumbai from Pune,' an IPL source told PTI. 'He will be rejoining the bubble before the next game against CSK on April 12.'
Royal Challengers Bangalore's next match is against arch rivals Chennai Super Kings, on Tuesday. They have won three games and lost one so far.
