Match 15 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will be played between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the D.Y. Patil Ground in Navi Mumbai on Thursday night. Having won the two of their three games in their inaugural season, Lucknow will hope to continue the momentum, whereas the Capitals are looking to return to winning ways following their defeat against Gujarat Titans in the last game.
Delhi have struggled to get going in the batting Powerplay this season. They have the second-lowest average score in the first six overs this time. However, with David Warner available for selection, the Capitals can expect a better show from their top order.
In the bowling department, Anrich Nortje are set to feature for the first time in IPL 2022 as well. His partnership with Mustafizur Rahman will boost their attack. The Capitals also boast of Kuldeep Yadav's left arm wrist spin in the middle over.
In the Lucknow ranks, Avesh Khan has been the most impressive bowler. With a four-wicket haul against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he returned got back to his best after having gone for more than nine an over in his first two games. They will also hope Jason Holder to come good, especially with ball in hand along with Andrew Tye.
Their batting is a bit top-heavy, with K.L. Rahul and Quinton de Kock opening the innings. The think tank has invested heavily on Manish Pandey, but he is yet to live up to the expectations. The middle order has been taken care of by the likes of Evin Lewis, Deepak Hooda and impressive young talent Ayush Badoni.
