Match 27 of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The second game of Saturday's double-header, this will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
This has been a patchy season for both Delhi and Bangalore. Injuries and unavailability of top players have prevented both teams from fielding first-choice XIs. However, finally things are looking better at least for Delhi as Mitchell Marsh has joined their camp and set to feature in this game. On the other hand, Bangalore's Harshal Patel, who was unavailable in the last few games due to family emergencies, is likely to make a comeback tonight.
In Harshal's absence, death bowling has been huge concern for Bangalore, who have won three out of their five matches so far. Akash Deep and Mohammad Siraj have been expensive, while bowling Wanindu Hasaranga at the death has not really worked. However, with Harshal coming in, this area will be taken care of. In batting they have been bolstered by the youngsters, Shahbaz Ahmed and Suyash Prabhudesai.
For Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed have seen some sort of a resurgence in the careers this season. With Marsh coming in, Rishabh Pant will have more bowling options to consider. Delhi have just two win out of four games and now with their full-strength squad, Pant will like to create a winning momentum.
