Let us have a look at how the South African players fared in the three-match T20I series against Ireland.

Andy Balbirnie 6 (M 3, R 55, SR 122, C 3)

Balbirnie got starts twice but did not get much support from his teammates. He held three catches, the highest among both sides.

Simi Singh 6 (M 3, W 4, Ec 6, R 10, SR 59)

Simi was the best Irish bowler in the series by a fair margin. Unfortunately, he did not carry his batting form from the ODIs, where he notched up his maiden ODI hundred.

Josh Little 5 (M 2, W 3, Ec 8.62)

Little took three wickets in the opening two matches before making his way for Benjamin White in the third.

Harry Tector 4 (M 3, R 44, SR 102)

Tector made 36 from 34 in the opening match, but flopped in the next two outings.

Mark Adair 4 (M 3, W 5, Ave 22, Ec 9.16)

Adair picked up most wickets for Ireland, but was expensive in all three games.

Paul Stirling 3.5 (M 3, R 43, SR 110, W 2, Ec 6.83)

A disappointing series with bat for Stirling, who was no way near at his best. With ball, he returned 2-41 in six overs.

Lorcan Tucker 3.5 (M 3, R 36, SR 113, C 4, ST 1)

Tucker was excellent behind the stumps, with three catches and a stumping. He needs to bat more carefully.

Barry McCarthy 3.5 (M 2, W 1, Ec 10.14, R 43, SR 126)

With an unbeaten 25-ball 30, McCarthy helped Ireland to escape being bowled out in the first match. He remained not out on 13 in the third match as well. However, he went for 1-71 from his seven overs.

Shane Getkate 3 (M 3, R 37, SR 109)

Getkate wasted all three opportunities. Though he made 24 in the second match, but it could be easily converted into a big score.

George Dockrell 2.5 (M 2, R 22, SR 85)

Dockrell compiled 22 at 85 in the first two matches before losing his place in the third.

Craig Young 2 (M 2, W 1, ER 10.12)

Young featured in two games, and conceded more than ten an over for his one wicket.

Benjamin White 1.5 (M 1, R 2, W 0)

White bowled three overs on debut and returned 0-27, and remained unbeaten on 2.

Kevin O’Brien 1 (M 3, R 2, SR 25)

Batting woes continued for O’Brien, who had two ducks and a five-ball 2 at the top.
