For the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has named middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav to replace left-arm pace all-rounder David Willey.

Willey, who represents England in international cricket, participated in four games for RCB this year and claimed three wickets. Jadhav, who made his IPL debut in 2010, has played 93 games in the competition so far, amassed 1196 runs, is averaging 22.15 at a strike rate of 123.17, and has scored four half-centuries. He has also scored 1196 runs overall.

Jadhav has participated in nine T20Is and 73 ODIs for India. In addition to appearances with the Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad, the right-handed hitter has previously played 17 games for RCB. He can also bowl some useful off-spin.

RCB has signed him at INR 1 crore for the remaining of IPL 2023. Jadhav previously provided JioCinema, the owner of the digital rights to the IPL 2023, with Marathi commentary.

Beginning with a match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Monday, Bangalore will now play five straight away matches.
