Jaffna Kings v Galle Gladiators

Galle Gladiators 129/8 in 20 overs (Rajapaksa 23; Jayawickrama 2-13) beat Jaffna Kings 109 in 18.3 overs (Malik 23; Ahmad 2-12) by 20 runs. Player of the Match: Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

Galle Gladiators defended 130 against Jaffna Kings in Match 19 of the Lanka Premier League 2021 to book a place in Qualifier 1. After posting 129/8, they knocked over the Kings for 109 in 18.3 overs.

Noor Ahmad and Samit Patel returned 4-27 in their combined eight overs. Bhanuka Rajapaksa was adjudged Player of the Match for his 25-ball 23 in this low-scoring match. Praveen Jayawickrama and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth impressed the most from the Kings, taking two wickets apiece.

Colombo Stars v Kandy Warriors

Colombo Stars 182/6 in 20 overs (Kusal 58; Vimukthi 3-24) beat Kandy Warriors 124 in 17 overs (Bopara 47; Vandersay 6-25) by 58 runs. Player of the Match: Jeffrey Vandersay.

Jeffrey Vandersay returned 4-1-25-6 to help Colombo Stars thrash Kandy Warriors by 58 runs in Match 20, virtually a quarter-final fixture. The Stars piled 182/6 after being put in, and bundled the Warriors out for 124 in 17 overs.

Kusal Perera (58), Dhananjaya de Silva (40) and Dinesh Chandimal (44*) starred with bat, while Seekkuge Prasanna (2-27) and Naveen-ul-Haq (1-9) gave the support Vandersay required. They will now meet Dambulla Giants in the Eliminator, on 19 December.
