Smriti Mandhana will feature in the last few games, including the final, of the inaugural edition of The Hundred. she has decided to return home to spend time with family and friends before flying to Australia for a multi-format assignment.

Mandhana played for Southern Brave, who have already qualified for the final after winning six out of seven games they have played so far. The Brave have replaced her with Ireland’s Gaby Lewis, who had made her international debut at just 13 in 2014.

Mandhana starred last night against Welsh Fire, scoring 78 to guide them to a 39-run win. She and Dani Wyatt added 107 for the opening stand.

'I would love to be able to stay with the team until the final but we've been away from home for a long time with more tours ahead. I'll be watching the team at Lord's and hoping they can continue our good form,' said Mandhana.

Harmanpreet Kaur will also miss the last game of the competition, for Manchester Originals. Kaur endured a quad injury that kept her out for a major part of the tournament.
