According to reports from Fichajes, Mauricio Pochettino is closing in on becoming the next manager of Chelsea and has made Wilfried Zaha his top priority signing. Zaha, whose contract with Crystal Palace expires next month, is said to be interested in joining a top club and could be a quality addition to the Chelsea attack.

Chelsea's inconsistent goal-scoring this season has been a major issue for the club, and the 30-year-old Zaha is seen as a potential solution. He has already scored seven goals and provided three assists across all competitions for Palace this season, and he could improve those numbers if he moves to a better team.

Zaha's ability to play anywhere across the front three makes him a valuable asset for any club. However, his best position is on the left wing, which could create some selection issues for Pochettino, given the presence of other quality players like Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk at Chelsea.

Although Zaha will be a short-term acquisition for Chelsea, he will bring pace, flair, and goals to the final third, which could help the club compete for trophies next season. Furthermore, since he is available on a free transfer, the Blues can sign him without spending any money.

While Zaha's signing could boost Chelsea's attack, the club still needs to address its defensive and midfield issues in the upcoming transfer window. Chelsea has spent around €600 million on new players since the ownership change, and Todd Boehly, the current owner, is expected to continue investing in the squad this summer.
