Match 13, Southern Punjab v Balochistan

Southern Punjab 174/9 in 20 overs (Maqsood 54; Junaid 3-29) lost to Balochistan 176/2 in 18.4 overs (Bangalzai 50; Yamin 1-28) by 8 wickets with 8 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Abdul Bangalzai.

Balochistan beat Southern Punjab by eight wickets in Match 13 of the National T20 Cup 2021 in Rawalpindi. Sohaib Maqsood top-scored in Southern Punjab’s 174/9 after Imam-ul-Haq won the toss and asked them to bat. Umaid Asif and Junaid Khan claimed three wickets apiece.

Coming to the chase, Abdullah Shafique and Abdul Bangalzai got Balochistan off to a blistering start. They added 84 in 53 balls, and Haris Sohail (47*) along with Sohail Akhtar (16*) carried the momentum to take their side home with eight balls to spare.

Match 14, Sindh v Northern

Sindh 176/7 in 20 overs (Sharjeel 64; Shadab 2-33) beat Northern 62/3 in 7.2 overs (Nawaz 27; Danish 1-1) by 3 runs. Player of the Match: Sharjeel Khan.

Sindh beat Northern by three runs in a rain-marred Match 14 of the competition. They posted 176/7 after being put in, thanks to Sharjeel Khan’s 43-ball 64 and Sarfaraz Ahmed’s 18-ball 26. Salman Irshad, Muhammad Musa, and Shadab Khan picked up two wickets each.

Northern were at 62/3 in 7.2 overs when the rain came into play, and never allowed players and the umpires to take the field further. As per Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method, Northern were three runs behind at that point.
