Match 9, Sindh v Balochistan

Sindh 175/4 in 20 overs (Sarfaraz 41*; Khurram 1-25) beat Balochistan 98 in 16.4 overs (Bangalzai 29; Dahani 4-12) by 77 runs. Player of the Match: Zahid Mahmood.

Shahnawaz Dahani’s 4-12 and Zahid Mahmood’s 3-18 helped Sindh register a 77-run win against Balochistan in Match 9 of the National T20 Cup 2021 in Rawalpindi.

Opting to bat, Sindh posted 175/4, thanks to Sarfaraz Ahmed’s unbeaten 25-ball 41 and Anwar Ali’s unbeaten 13-ball 22. Shan Masood (31), Sharjeel Khan (34), and Saud Shakeel (32) also chipped in with handy contributions. For Balochistan, Khurram Shahzad, Umaid Asif, and Kashif Bhatti claimed a wicket each.

In Balochistan’s reply, Abdul Bangalzai was the only batter who scored in excess of 20. Danish Aziz returned 2-23, and Rumman Raees 1-15.

Match 10, Southern Punjab v Northern

Southern Punjab 175/6 in 20 overs (Maqsood 75; Musa 3-40) lost to Northern 177/5 in 19.1 overs (Nawaz 56*; Hassan 2-13) by 5 wickets with 5 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Mohammad Nawaz.

Northern beat Southern Punjab by five wickets in Match 10 of the competition.

Riding on Shoaib Maqsood’s 47-ball 75, Southern Punjab piled up 175/6 after being put in. At No. 6, Aamer Yamin scored 23 off nine balls. For Northern, Muhammad Musa picked up three wickets, but went for 10 an over.

Nasir Nawaz (24 in 15 balls) and Haider Ali (40 in 27) scored runs quickly to keep the chase under Northern’s control. Coming at No. 5, Mohammad Nawaz struck six fours and two sixes in his unbeaten 35-ball 56 to guide Northern reach the target with five balls to spare.
