Pakistan have announced their squads for their tours of England (three ODIs, three T20Is) and the West Indies (five T20Is, two Test matches). Significant inclusions include that of Mohammad Abbas and Naseem Shah to the Test squad.
Abbas had lost his place after an ordinary outing in New Zealand last year. However, as expected, he has found form in the County Championship. He has taken 27 wickets for Hampshire so far, including a hat-trick against Middlesex.
The ODI series in England will be a part of the ICC Super League, while the two-match Test series in West Indies will count towards the second edition of the World Test Championship.
Azam Khan, a 22-year-old batter, has earned plaudits for impeccable hitting prowess. He has earned a maiden call-up to the T20I squad. Imad Wasim has also made a comeback to the T20I setup.
Saud Shakeel, a left-handed batter from Sind, has been rewarded with a place in the Test and ODI squads. Shakeel has been among the most consistent run-getters over the last few seasons in the domestic arena.
Salman Ali Agha has been sidelined from Test cricket but has broken into the ODI squad for England tour.
