Karachi Kings 174/6 in 20 overs (Clarke 40; Dahani 2-44) lost to Multan Sultans 176/3 in 19.3 overs (Rizwan 76; Hamza 2-76) by 7 wickets with 3 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Mohammad Rizwan.

Karachi Kings slipped to the eighth successive defeat of PSL 2022. They failed to defend 175 against Multan Sultans at Gaddafi Stadium. Mohammad Rizwan struck 76 in 56 balls to guide the Sultans to a comfortable win. 

Rizwan and Shan Masood (46) added 100 for the opening stand before the latter fell to to Mir Hamza. When Chris Jordan got Rizwan, the Sultans needed 45 runs in 3.2 overs, but Rilee Rossouw (14) and Khushdil Shah (21) struck quick boundaries as the Sultans completed the chase with three balls remaining.

Earlier, Rumman Raees pinned Babar Azam leg-before with his first ball. Joe Clarke and Sharjeel Khan then added 72 for the second wicket to steady the innings, before a 16-ball 32 from Imad Wasim propelled them to 174/6.
