Karachi Kings won their first game of PSL 2022. After being bowled out for 149, they restricted Lahore Qalandars to 127/9, thanks to Mir Hamza's 4-27. Hamza struck twice in his opening spell, and returned to dismiss both David Wiese (31) and Harry Brook (26) when the duo looked well set to win the game for their team.

Earlier, Zaman Khan and Rashid Khan claimed four wickets each to bowl out the Kings to 149.

Multan Sultans vs Quetta Gladiators

Multan Sultans 245/3 in 20 overs (Rizwan 83*; Irfan 1-28) beat Quetta Gladiators 128 in 15.5 overs (Umar Akmal 50; Khushdil 2-17) by 117 runs. Player of the Match: Rilee Rossouw

Rilee Rossouw slammed 71 in 26 balls, Mohammad Rizwan remained unbeaten on 83, and Shan Masood made 57 in 38 balls, as Multan Sultans amassed 245/3 against Quetta Gladiators.

In response, the Gladiators were bowled out for 128, with David Willey, Shahnawaz Dahani, Asif Afridi, Khushdil Shah picking up two wickets each. The Sultans' place at the top of the points table is now assured.
