Multan Sultans 174/4 in 20 overs (Masood 88; Hasnain 2-27) beat Quetta Gladiators 168 in 19.5 overs (Duckett 47; Khushdil 3-16) by 6 runs. Player of the Match: Shan Masood.

Shan Masood hit a 58-ball 88, with six fours and four sixes, to help Multan Sultans beat Quetta Gladiators by six runs in Match 7 of the Pakistan Super League 2022 in Karachi.

Masood took the Sultans to 174/4 after Sarfaraz Ahmed asked them to bat. Tim David (28* in 16 balls) and Rilee Rossouw (21) also chipped in. For the Gladiators, Mohammad Hasnain returned 2-27 and James Faulkner 1-22.

In reply, the Gladiators lost Ahsan Ali and Will Smeed inside the Powerplay, to Khushdil Shah (3-16). Ben Duckett (47) and Sarfaraz (21) then added 68 for the third wicket before the former was cleaned up by Imran Tahir (3-24) in the 13th over.

Iftikhar Ahmed (30 in 13) tried in vain as the Gladiators fell six runs short of the target. In the end they were bowled out for 168 in 19.5 overs. David Willey finished with 3-22.
