Lahore Qalandars v Islamabad United

Lahore Qalandars 174/9 in 20 overs (Shafique 44; Shadab 4-20) beat Islamabad United 166/5 in 20 overs (Munro 60; Rauf 2-41) by 8 runs. Player of the Match: Zaman Khan.

Shadab Khan’s all-round show (4-20, 32-ball 52) was not enough for Islamabad United as they lost to Lahore Qalandars by eight runs in Match 12 of the Pakistan Super League 2022 in Karachi. Islamabad closed on 166/5 after being set 175.

Earlier, Abdullah Shafique’s 24-ball 44, Fakhar Zaman’s 27-ball 38, and Harry Brook’s 26-ball 37 helped Lahore post 174/9 after Shadab asked them to bat. Waqas Maqsood took four wickets as well, but conceded 35. Shadab got support from Colin Munro (60 in 45), but the others made little impact.

Multan Sultans v Peshawar Zalmi

Multan Sultans 222/3 in 20 overs (Rizwan 82; Malik 1-17) beat Peshawar Zalmi 165/8 in 20 overs (Cutting 52*; Tahir 3-25) by 57 runs. Player of the Match: Mohammad Rizwan.

Multan Sultans beat Peshawar Zalmi by 57 runs in Match 13 of the competition. They piled 222/3, courtesy Mohammad Rizwan’s 53-ball 82, Tim David’s unbeaten 19-ball 51, and Khushdil Shah’s unbeaten 7-ball 21. They then restricted Peshawar to 165/8.

For Peshawar, Hazratullah Zazai (43) and Ben Cutting (52*) tried, but could not find enough support to chase a mammoth target. Imran Tahir was the pick of the Multan bowlers, returning 3-25, while Shahnawaz Dahani ended with 3-41.
