After losing the first ODI, Pakistan will be up against West Indies in a must-win second match at the National Stadium in Karachi, on 11 November.

West Indies beat Pakistan by 3-2 in the ODI series at home earlier this year. They are on the cusp of another series victory, having won the first game by 45 runs. Deandra Dottin starred with a brilliant 132 not out (18 fours, two sixes) and Hayley Matthews got a 67-ball 57 to take West Indies to 253/8 that day. In reply, Pakistan could only manage 208/9, Matthews impressing with three wickets.

The inclusion of Stafanie Taylor, who had missed the T20I series against South Africa, provided West Indies with a substantial boost. Kyshona Knight retired hurt after playing six balls, and there is no confirmation over her availability.

Pakistan will expect more from their top order. Sidra Ameen got out cheaply, while Muneeba Ali, Ayesha Zafar and Kainat Imtiaz could not convert their starts. Iram Javed started well, and was on 40 when she ended up holing out to Hayley Matthews.

Among bowlers, Anam Amin picked up five wickets, but the others failed to build pressure from the other end. Fatima Sana conceded 65 from her 10 overs.
