Australia will miss the services of Ellyse Perry for the Women's World Cup semi-final as she ran out of time to fully recover from back spasms. Perry sustained the injury while playing against South Africa, and had to leave the field. In Perry's absence, Annabel Sutherland is likely to retain her place in the final XI.

'We'll go in without her tomorrow and we'll keep assessing her if we are to progress in the tournament,' said her captain Meg Lanning. 'Unfortunate for her and the team, obviously, a big blow but we feel like we've got some good depth to be able to cover it and we're going to have to do that tomorrow.'

West Indies will also be without Afy Fletcher, who has tested positive for Covid-19. Fletcher, one of their key bowlers, picked up three wickets when they beat Bangladesh. Fletcher will also miss the final, in case the West Indies qualify.

They have named Mandy Mangru as a replacement. Mangru has played only one ODI for West Indies, against South Africa last month.
