In a statement released on Monday, the Abu Dhabi T10 league announced the appointment of Rajeev Khanna as its Chief Operating Officer, where he would be in charge of the competition's general management and day-to-day operations.
Former cricket player Khanna has made significant contributions to the realm of sports management. With stints in some of the most thrilling leagues in the world, including the Indian Premier League, Pro Kabaddi League, and International Tennis Premier League, he has turned his passion for sports into a profession of the highest calibre.
Since 2009, Khanna has participated in the IPL. He has held positions as vice-president, chief operating officer, and consultant with the Rajasthan Royals as well as the Punjab Kings. He has had a remarkable ability to modify how sports management is done at the top level over the years.
When discussing hiring new guards, Khanna said, "I am thrilled to join the team as the competition's COO because the Abu Dhabi T10 is the most thrilling cricket tournament in the world. I'll do all in my power to make sure the tournament's history keeps expanding exponentially and draws even more top players in the future."
Shaji Ul Mulk, Chairman of T10 Sports Management, stated in the meantime, "In his career, Rajeev Khanna has reached remarkable heights, therefore we are thrilled to have him join the Abu Dhabi T10 family. I have no doubt that his experience will be of great value to our tournament, and we look forward to a long and productive working relationship with him."
From November 23 to December 4 2022, the Abu Dhabi T10 will be hosted at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
