The television rights to broadcast India's tour to Bangladesh, which will include three one-day internationals and two tests, have been acquired, Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) announced on Wednesday. The visit is scheduled to take place in December. India will visit Bangladesh for the first time since 2015.

Three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) between India and Bangladesh will take place at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on December 4, 7, and 10. It will be followed by tests at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram from December 14 to 18 and a second test at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka from December 22 to 26.

"We are pleased to announce that the broadcast rights for India's tour of Bangladesh in 2022 have been purchased by Sony Sports Network. Since Sony Sports Network is a leader in the sector, I am confident that the broadcasting standards and quality will be appropriate for a highly anticipated series like this one "said Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, the Bangladesh Cricket Board's CEO.

In ODIs and Test matches, India will be captained by Rohit Sharma, with KL Rahul serving as his assistant. In addition, the final bilateral series between India and another country in 2022 will feature players like Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan (only for ODIs), Rishabh Pant, Cheteshwar Pujara (only for Tests), and Mohammed Shami, among others.

India is currently ranked fourth with 52.08 percentage points in the ICC World Test Championship cycle, which includes the two Test matches between India and Bangladesh. Bangladesh, on the other hand, is in last place with 13.33 percentage points in the championship table.

India are scheduled to depart for Bangladesh on December 1 and will leave the country on December 27 after the tour ends. India tour of Bangladesh will be broadcasted live on Sony Sports Ten 5, Sony Sports Ten 3 and Sony Sports Ten 4 channels in India.
