Let us have a look at how each Sri Lankan player fared in the three-match T20I series against India.

Wanindu Hasaranga 9.5 (M 3, W 7, Ec 5.58, R 29, SR 132)

An outstanding tour for Hasaranga, Lanka’s best bowler since the ODIs. With five scalps at an economy rate of 5.52, he finished as the top-wicket taker in the T20Is, winning the Player of the Series award. He also played breezy cameos in the last two matches.

Dhananjaya de Silva 7 (M 3, R 72, SR 118)

In the second match, de Silva scored 40 not out to help level the series. He was Sri Lanka’s top-scorer, with 72 runs at a strike rate of 118.

Dasun Shanaka 7 (M 3, W 3, Es 5.42, R 19, SR 95)

Shanaka bowled accurately for his three wickets. He also took two exceptional catches in the decider. He probably needs to bowl more often.

Akila Dananjaya 6 (M 3, W 2, Ec 7.27)

Dananjaya conceded 40 in three overs in the first match, but came back well in the last two. That includes figures of 4-0-11-0 in the decider.

Charith Asalanka 6 (M 1, R 44, SR 169)

Asalanka was Sri Lanka’s best batter in the first match. Unfortunately, he did not feature in the next two due to an injury.

Minod Bhanuka 5.5 (M 3, R 64, SR 99, C 4)

Bhanuka starred with bat in the second match, but made little impact in the other two. He held four catches behind the stumps.

Ramesh Mendis 5.5 (M 2, W 1, Ec 5.50)

Mendis bowled five tight overs for his solitary wicket. Sri Lanka should use him as a bowler regularly.

Avishka Fernando 4 (M 3, R 49, SR 91)

Avishka did not continue his ODI form in the T20Is, aggregating just 49 at 91.

Chamika Karunaratne 3 (M 3, W 1, Ec 7.42, R 15, SR 150)

Karunaratne was expensive for his only wicket in the first match, but did bowl well in the next two. He played a quickfire 6-ball 12 not out in the second match.

Ashen Bandara 1 (M 1, R 9, SR 47)

Bandara took 19 balls for his 9 in the first match before being sidelined in the next two.

Isuru Udana 1 (M 2, W 0, Ec 7.80)

Udana featured in the first two games. He bowled five overs and returned 0-39.

Sadeera Samarawickrama 1 (M 2, R 14, SR 56)

Samarawickrama replaced Ashen Bandara for the last two games, but wasted both opportunities.

Pathum Nissanka 1 (M 1, R 0)

In his only match, Nissanka did not bat, bowl or hold a catch.
