Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the wicket-keeper batsman for Afghanistan, is anticipated to be fit for the team's opening Men's T20 World Cup match against England in Perth on Saturday after scans revealed no fracture.

The 20-year-old was injured on the left foot by a left-arm pacer's inswinging yorker on Wednesday at the Gabba during Afghanistan's warm-up match against Pakistan, which ended in a no-result due to rain.

After receiving medical attention, the game's opener was carried off the field and later seen with a protective boot on his left foot. He was taken to the hospital for scans, and according to the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), there were no significant injuries found.

The results are unambiguous and there was no bone fracture, according to the team doctor, the ACB said in a statement.

He will be evaluated over the course of the following two days, and he is anticipated to be available for our match against England on Saturday.

In his five innings of play during the 2021 T20 World Cup, Gurbaz only managed to score 85 runs. Since then, he has been elevated to regularly open the batting, and his availability will be a big help for Afghanistan before their opening match.
