As many as 332 players have been shortlisted to go under the hammer in the IPL 2020 auction and 94 among them are overseas names. These 94 names include some of the world’s best T20 players, so we might see franchises going all guns out to acquire their services for the 2020 edition of the IPL. Here, we are listing down three such players who could attract high bids in the auction:

Tom Banton (Base Price: 1 Cr)

The 21-year-old England batsman has had a fantastic year so far. He ended up as the highest run-getter in the Vitality T20 Blast this year with 549 runs to his name at an excellent strike-rate of 161.47. His tally of 67 fours and 23 sixes during the course of the tournament was the most by any player. His exploits didn’t end there as he went on to make his T20I debut for England in the series against New Zealand. Not only that, Banton played in the Abu Dhabi T10 League after that and smashed 161 runs at an average of 40.50 and a strike-rate of exactly 200. Franchises like Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians would be highly interested in acquiring his services.

Chris Lynn (Base Price: 2 Cr)

The Australian batsman has been released by KKR this season and most franchises would be eager to splash money for buying him at the auction. Lynn is one of the most dangerous T20 batsmen in the world at present with nearly 4500 runs to his name at an excellent average and strike-rate of 32.53 and 141.96 respectively. Recently, he finished as the highest run-getter in the T10 League also as he amassed 371 runs in eight matches at a stunning average and strike-rate of 53.00 and 236.30 respectively. He could be expected to earn a fat paycheck with him being in such sublime touch.

Pat Cummins (Base Price: 2 Cr)

The Australian international is one of the best fast bowlers in the world at present. The early part of his career had been marred by injuries but he has been a beast in every format since his return to international cricket in 2017. And he would be eager to show his mettle in the IPL this season as well. Cummins has 92 wickets to his name in 77 T20s till date at an excellent strike-rate and a decent economy rate of 19.0 and 7.72 respectively. Not only that, Cummins is a handy lower-order batsman as well. He has 310 T20 runs to his name in 17 innings at a strike-rate of 124.
