The United States of America won their first-ever home game against a full-member side. Chasing 189, Ireland could only manage 162/6. Gajanand Singh was adjudged Player of the Match for his 42-ball 65.

Monank Patel's decision to bat backfired, as the USA lost four wickets for just 16. Barry McCarthy had Monank (2) caught behind in the first over. In his next two overs, he dismissed both Ryan Scott and Xavier Marshall.

Gajanand and Sushant Modani then added 110 for the fifth wicket. Gajanand hit five sixes and three fours, while Modani got a relatively cautious 39-ball 50. A 15-ball 39 from Marty Kain then propelled the hosts to 188/6.

For Ireland, McCarthy took four wickets, while Simi Singh and Benjamin White claimed a wicket each.

In response, Andy Balbirnie (4) fell early, but Paul Stirling kept the scoreboard ticking with regular boundaries. Stirling scored 31 off 15 before getting bowled by Saurabh Netravalkar. Curtis Campher got stumped on 17, while Shane Getkate (19) ended up becoming the second victim of Netravalkar.

Lorcan Tucker (57 not out in 49 balls) held the innings from one end, but the bowlers did well to contain him. For the USA, Netravalkar and Ali Khan took two wickets apiece.
