Devdutt Padikkal, Ravikumar Samarth, and Prithvi Shaw, the top three run-getters of the ongoing edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, all featured in the same semi-final, between Mumbai and Karnataka. Shaw’s belligerent 165 in the morning catapulted him past Padikkal and secure top spot on the runs chart. Padikkal, who came into the match with four consecutive centuries under his belt, scored 64 later in the day, while Samarth got just 8. Shaw’s tally is also the most in a single edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
