Pre-Quarter Final 1, Vidarbha v Tripura
Vidarbha 258/7 in 50 overs (Rathod 57; Murasingh 2-41) beat Tripura 224 in 49.3 overs (Bikramkumar 61; Thakur 4-45) by 34 runs.
Vidarbha beat Tripura by 34 runs in the first pre-quarterfinal of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021/2022 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. They posted 258/7 after being asked to bat and bowled out Tripura for 224.
Yash Thakur (4-45) and Darshan Nalkande (3-41) starred with ball for Vidarbha, while Yash Rathod (57) and Atharva Taide (51) made fifties with bat. They will now face Saurashtra in the third quarter-final at the same venue, on 22 December.
Pre-Quarter Final 2, Karnataka v Rajasthan
Rajasthan 199 in 41.4 overs (Hooda 109; Vyshak 4-22) lost to Karnataka 204/2 in 43.4 overs (Siddharth 85*; Nagarkoti 1-27) by 8 wickets with 38 balls to spare.
Karnataka bundled out Rajasthan for 199 in 41.4 overs and reached the target with eight wickets and 38 balls to spare in the second pre-quarterfinal at the K.L. Saini Ground, Jaipur. Vijaykumar Vyshak was the pick of the Karnataka bowler, with 4-22. Deepak Hooda scored a run-a-ball 109, but received little support from his Rajasthan teammates.
Ravikumar Samarth (54), K. Siddharth (85*) and Manish Pandey (52*) chipped in with handy contributions to chase the target with ease. They will meet Tamil Nadu in the second quarter-final at the same ground, on 21 December.
Pre-Quarter Final 3, Uttar Pradesh v Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh 234 in 49.2 overs (Shubham 83; Dayal 3-35) lost to Uttar Pradesh 237/5 in 49.1 overs (Akshdeep 78; Avesh 2-47) by 5 wickets with 5 balls to spare.
Uttar Pradesh chased 235 against Madhya Pradesh in the third pre-quarterfinal at the Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground, Jaipur with five wickets and five balls to spare.
Akshdeep Nath top-scored with 92-ball 78, while Rinku Singh remained unbeaten on 64-ball 58. Yash Dayal returned 3-35 and Bhuvneshwar Kumar 2-46. They will go up against Himachal Pradesh in the first quarter-final on 21 December.
