Former India captain Virat Kohli and fast bowler Mohannad Siraj have risen up the ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings, which were released on Wednesday.

According to the most recent ODI rankings, Kohli jumped two spots to fourth overall on the list of ODI batters, while Siraj jumped 15 spots to third on the list of bowlers.

Kohli scored two centuries and amassed 283 runs in three innings during India's recent ODI series sweep. The right-hander now has 750 rating points, closing in on Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who has 887 rating points.

South Africans Rassie van der Dussen (766) and Quinton de Kock (759) are ranked second and third, respectively, on the batters list.

Siraj improved to a career-best rating of 685 points after taking nine wickets in the series, closing in on pacesetters Trent Boult (730) of New Zealand and Josh Hazlewood of Australia (727).

In addition to Kohli and Siraj, teammates Shubman Gill and Kuldeep Yadav were compensated for their performances against Sri Lanka.

During the series, Gill hit a century and a fifty, and his 207 runs at an average of 69 helped the opener move up 10 spots to 26th overall in the ODI batter rankings.

Kuldeep was rewarded for his five wickets in two matches against Sri Lanka, rising seven places to 21st in the latest bowler rankings.

Pakistan and New Zealand players have also risen in the rankings following the conclusion of their ODI series in Karachi.

Kane Williamson of New Zealand scored 164 runs during the series, moving up three spots to eighth overall on the batter rankings, while teammate Devon Conway improved from outside the top 100 to 50th after a century and fifty in three games.

Mohammad Nawaz was the big mover for Pakistan, rising 12 spots to 28th on the list of bowlers after taking six wickets during the series.
