North Group

Nottinghamshire defeated Durham in the final match of the group stage of the Vitality Blast 2021 to maintain their lead at the top of the points table. They have accumulated 21 points from 14 games.

Lancashire became the second team to qualify from North Group to qualify for the quarter-finals. They have won seven matches and lost five.

Warwickshire defeated Northamptonshire by 14 runs to book their place in the next stage of the competition. Yorkshire became the fourth team to qualify, even though their scheduled match against Derbyshire was abandoned due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the Derbyshire camp.

South Group

Kent defeated Sussex by four wickets to finish as the table-toppers of the South Group. They have won nine matches, and lost four in their campaign. Sussex too qualified despite a defeat. They finished at third place.

Somerset finished with 18 points, one fewer than Sussex. Somerset also won their game, defeating Gloucestershire by 23 runs. Hampshire became the fourth team to qualify for the quarter-finals. Both Hampshire and Surrey have had 15 points, but the former qualified on the basis of the higher run rate.
