After clinching a record-extending sixth Women's T20 World Cup title with a 19-run victory over South Africa, Australia opener Beth Mooney believes her team never gets tired of winning ICC titles and is optimistic that the team "can keep piling up those trophies."

Mooney top-scored for Australia with an unbeaten 74 off 53 as they posted 156/6, and South Africa were stifled in their chase, falling 20 runs short of their target on Sunday.

Australia won their third consecutive T20 World Cup title on Sunday, and their sixth overall in eight editions over the last 14 years.

Since the 2018 T20 World Cup in the West Indies, they have won every tournament available, including the 2020 event in Australia, the 2022 ODI World Cup in New Zealand, and last year's Commonwealth Games gold medal in Birmingham.

When asked after the win how many more titles this current Australian team might have in them, Mooney replied, "As many as there are out there, I believe."

Lanning's team still holds the ICC Women's T20 World Cup and the 50-over World Cup titles.

"It never gets old for us. Making sure we're always evolving is something we talk about as a group. I believe we've seen in this tournament that there are teams from all over the world getting better and better as the years pass, and we're aware that we're being pursued "Cricket.com.au quoted Mooney as saying.

"People look at us for what we do and how we do it, so it won't last forever, but we'll enjoy it for as long as we can and hopefully keep piling up those trophies," she added.
