England levelled the five-match series with a one-run win in the second T20I, at the Kensington Oval. Chasing 172, West Indies finished on 170/8. Moeen Ali picked up three wickets after scoring 31 in 24 balls to be adjudged Player of the Match.

The margin of defeat flattered West Indies. Akeal Hosein struck three sixes off the last three balls of the match, bowled by Saqib Mahmood, but only when West Indies needed 20 in three balls.

Reece Topley pinned Brandon King leg-before with the second ball, while Shai Hope got run out on 2. Nicholas Pooran struck three fours and a six in his 22-ball 24 before Moeen claimed him. Adil Rashid then dismissed Darren Bravo (20) and Kieron Pollard to reduce West Indies to 55/5. Romario Shepherd (44* in 28) and Hosein (44* in 16) then put up some resistance, but in vain.

Earlier, Jason Roy and Tom Banton got England added 25 before Fabian Allen got Banton, and three balls later, James Vince (4). Moeen and Roy (45) then added 61 for the third wicket before Chris Jordan's 15-ball 27 propelled England to 171/8. For West Indies, Holder and Allen took two wickets each.
