Pakistan levelled the series with a 109-run win over West Indies in the second and final Test at Sabina Park Cricket Stadium, on Thursday, 24 August. Shaheen Shah Afridi added four more wickets to his first-innings tally to claim his maiden ten-wicket haul. Chasing 328, West Indies were skittled out for 219.

Afridi’s figures of 10-94 were the best by Pakistani fast bowlers since 2006. He finished the series with 18 wickets to his name. Nauman Ali, who replaced Yasir Shah, bagged three wickets in the second innings.

Alzarri Joseph struck two boundaries before he was undone by Afridi on 17. The middle-order again failed to offer any resistance. Hasan Ali pinned Nkrumah Bonner on the front pad before getting Roston Chase caught by Imran Butt. West Indies, 73/4 at this stage, still needed to bat out for a major part of the day to save this Test.

Kraigg Brathwaite was reprieved on 25 when Abid Ali failed to grab a sitter. West Indies lost another set batter just before lunch. Jermaine Blackwood hit three boundaries before his short stay was abrupted by Nauman Ali.

Nauman struck again shortly after lunch, getting Brathwaite on 39. Jason Holder and Kyle Mayers tried keeping the opponents at bay. They added 46 for the seventh wicket before Afridi had Mayers caught behind.

Holder made 47 before becoming the third victim of Nauman. Joshua Da Silva’s dismissal brought an end to West Indies innings.
