In a rain-marred clash reduced to 34 overs a side, Pakistan defeated West Indies by 22 runs via the DLS Method to make the scoreline 3-2. West Indies succumbed to their second straight defeat as they failed to chase down a target of 191. Fatima Sana was named Player of the Match for her 28 and 5-39.

Earlier, Stafanie Taylor won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat after the match was reduced to 36 overs a side. As usual, Muneeba Ali held the innings from one end, while Sidra Ameen and Javeria Khan departed quickly. Ali got out on 39.

Omaima Sohail, who has been among the consistent run-getters for Pakistan, responded with 37-ball 34. Fatima Sana’s quickfire 28, comprising four fours, propelled Pakistan to 190/8 in 34 overs. Two overs were reduced from the 36 following another burst of rain.

In reply, West Indies lost Hayley Matthews in the fourth over. She was run out for 1. Deandra Dottin and Britney Cooper then played over 10 overs, adding 48 for the second wicket.

Sana provided Pakistan with a timely breakthrough, bowling Dotin for 37. This brought Taylor to the crease. As another partnership brewed, Sana struck again, this time removing Cooper on 40 to reduce West Indies to 93/3.

Barring Kyshona Knight's 28, the rest of the batters did not contribute much. In the end, they were bundled out for 171. Sana picked up 5-39, while Diana Baig bagged two to her name.
