West Indies vs Pakistan, Women’s T20I series: Report card for hosts Image

West Indies put on a comprehensive performance to clinch the T20I series against Pakistan 3-0. In three low-scoring contests, West Indies did well to defend in the first two games and chased down a mediocre target in the last game. Let us take a look at how each player from the home side fared in the series.

Kycia Knight 9 (M 3, R 69, SR 119)

With 69 runs in three matches, Kycia Knight finished as the leading run-getter. Her quickfire 30 dragged West Indies to 125, while she added 48 runs with Stafanie Taylor for the fifth wicket to take the hosts past the finishing line in the third match.

Shamilia Connell 9 (M 3, W 5, Econ 5.41)

With five wickets, Connell emerged as the leading wicket-taker. She returned figures of 4-0-21-3 in the first match, and followed it with a couple of wickets in the last.

Stafanie Taylor 8.5 (M 3, R 59, SR 84, W 3, Econ 6)

Taylor failed to carry on the momentum built by the openers in the first two T20Is. However, she compensated with a a 41-ball 43 in the third, after doing the hat-trick.

Deandra Dottin 8(M 3, R 62, SR 129)

Deandra Dottin amassed 62 runs in three games at a strike rate of 129.16. She made 31 off 26 in the first game, followed it with 12-ball 17. On two out of three occasions, she, along with Hayley Matthews, provided a brisk start to the team.

Hayley Matthews 7 (M 3, R 42, SR 82, W 3, Econ 3.86)

Matthews scored 32 in the first game, and was a part of 65-run partnership with Dottin. But she got out cheaply in the next two games. She also picked up three wickets.

Chedean Nation 7 (M 3, R 62, SR 82)

Coming at No. 5, Nation chipped in with key contributions, the highest being 28 in the second game. She fell unconscious while fielding in the same match and was taken to hospital for immediate treatment.

Kyshona Knight 6.5 (M 3, R 38, SR 83)

Kyshona Knight made 23 in 21 balls in the first T20I. She eventually got 38 runs.

Aaliyah Alleyne 6 (M 3, W 2, Econ 7.28)

Alleyne picked up 2-23 in the first match, but went for runs in the other two.

Anisa Mohammed 5.5 (M 3, W 3, Econ 6.40)

Wicketless in first two games, Anisa – the leading wicket-taker in the format in the world – picked up three wickets in the last match.

Chinelle Henry 3 (M 2, R 5, SR 83.33)

Henry was another player to lose consciousness while fielding. She did not get much scope to show her skills in the two games.

Shakera Selman 2 (M 3, W 0, Econ 5.33)

Selman played all three games, but could not claim even a single dismissal.

Britney Cooper 2 (M 1, W 0, R 0)

Cooper came in for Henry in the last T20I but did not get a chance with bat or ball. She grabbed a catch off Javeria Khan.
