West Indies beat South Africa in Super Over in the second ODI at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. Between them, Deandra Dottin and Hayley Matthews struck two sixes and two fours off Shabnim Ismail to set a target of 26. South Africa began with a six, but only got 11 more from the next five balls.

West Indies were let down by their batters, who was unable to forge reasonable partnerships. Rashada Williams, Kycia Knight and Matthews fell cheaply, while Stafanie Taylor got 21. Only Dottin batted with fluency, hitting five fours and two sixes for her 31-ball 37. She got bowled by Ayabonga Khaka (5-26) in the ninth over.

Chedean Nation (35) and Chinelle Henry (26) added 54 for the seventh wicket. At one point it seemed they would take the West Indies across the target. Then Henry was bowled by Khaka. With the scores level needed, Ismail got Shakera Selman, the tenth wicket, to extend the match to Super Over.

Earlier, five West Indies bowlers took two wickets each to skittle out South Africa for 160. Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits added 53 for the opening stand before both fell to Henry. Sune Luus scored 46, but the rest of the batters failed to step up to the occasion.

South Africa 160 in 40.4 overs (Sune Luus 46; Hayley Matthews 2-21) tied with West Indies 160 in 37.4 overs (Deandra Dottin 37; Ayabonga Khaka 5-26). West Indies won in Super Over.
