West Indies succumbed to their fourth straight defeat of the series after falling 35 runs short of the target against South Africa. An unbeaten 65 from Mignon du Preez helped South Africa post a fighting total of 185/6. In reply, West Indies could only muster 150/9.

South Africa rested Lizelle Lee for this game. Tazmin Brits opened the innings alongside Laura Wolvaardt, who got out for 1. Lara Goodall played 36 balls for her 9 runs before getting bowled by Hayley Matthews.

Anisa Mohammed then got Brits, for 30, to reduce them to 57/3. Dane van Niekerk, too, could not do much, getting dismissed by Cherry-Ann Fraser on 20.

Du Preez held her nerves, and added 63 with Sinalo Jafta for the seventh wicket. She eventually scored 65 off 91 deliveries, while Jafta remained unbeaten on 28.

Chasing 186, West Indies lost a couple of early wickets. Reniece Boyce was undone by Masabata Klaas in the fourth over. Almost four overs later, Sheneta Grimmond fell too.

Rashada Williams looked clam, and held the fort from one end. Deandra Dottin was on 22 when she ended up chipping straight back to van Niekerk. The rest of the batters, including Matthews and Kycia Knight, could not add much. Williams got run out on 42, and Zimbabwe were restricted to 150.

Brief scores: South Africa 185/6 in 50 overs (Mignon du Preez 65; Anisa Mohammad 2-26) beat West Indies 150/9 in 50 overs (Rashada Williams 42; Dane van Niekerk 3-23) by 35 runs.
