West Indies registered a consolation win over South Africa in the fifth ODI to avoid a clean sweep. The match went to the Super Over after South Africa matched West Indies' tally of 192 in 50 overs. West Indies needed six runs to win, which they did despite losing Deandra Dottin off the first ball.

Reniece Boyce and Rashada Williams added 33 for the opening stand before the former fell prey to Nadine de Klerk. Chedean Nation and Dottin got out cheaply, leaving the hosts at 76/3. Hayley Matthews then joined Williams out in the middle, and the duo steadied the innings with a 97-run partnership.

Williams made 78, while Matthews fell two runs short of the half-century. De Klerk claimed three wickets.

Lizelle Lee, back in the side after missing the last game, added 111 runs for the opening stand with Tazmin Brits. Lee fell for 61, to Qiana Joseph, and her wicket opened the floodgates. An over later, Brits was undone by Sheneta Grimmond on 48, and then Lara Goodall departed cheaply.

Grimmond then had Dane van Niekerk caught by Dottin to reduce the visitors to 137/4 in 35.4 overs. Mignon du Preez took charge, and made 46 off 60 deliveries to keep her side in the game. Sinalo Jafta 34-ball 16 took South Africa to Super Over, where they saw a target of six runs easily breached by the opponents.
