Oval Invincibles will be up against Birmingham Phoenix in Eliminator of the Hundred at The Oval on Friday. The winner will then take on Southern Brave in the final, on Sunday at Lord’s.

The Invincibles are heavily reliant on the captain Dane van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp to put up a decent total on the board. Georgia Adamas and Fran Wilson, on the other hand, have been inconsistent.

They will be heading to the contest off a 30-run defeat against the Brave. The bowlers did a great job of restricting the opponents to 115, but they were let down by the batters.

Barring van Niekerk and Kapp, none of their batters reached double figures. They may want to tweak their batting order. Sarah Bryce did well when she was promoted to No. 3. Alice Capsey is another option for that spot.

The Phoenix started their campaign with four defeats in the first five games, but sealed a Playoffs spot with three successive wins. They will be without Shafali Verma, who has returned home. But Evelyn Jones, her opening partner, is in good form.

Jones made 64 in 47 balls to propel her team to 147. They survived a scare from Lauren Winfield Hill (64) to restrict Northern Superchargers to 14 runs short of the target.

Betway Fantasy Tips

  • Van Niekerk has been consistent since promoting herself to the top. She and her wife Kapp have been consistent run-getters for The Phoenix.
  • Among bowlers, pick Tash Farrant and Kirstie Gordon. Both feature among the leading wicket-takers.
  • From the Phoenix, pick the Joneses, Evelyn and Amy, as batters.
