Trent Rockets are now out of the Playoffs race after succumbing to their fourth defeat of the season, against Manchester Originals on Sunday. The Originals rode on a 96-run opening partnership between Emma Lamb and Lizelle Lee to chase down a target of 123 with eight wickets and 13 balls in hand.

Asked to bat, the Rockets got off a rusty start. Rachel Priest, completely out of rhythm, made 8 in 15 balls falling to Alex Hartley. Sammy-Jo Johnson struck four sixes for her 20-ball 33, while Sarah Glenn got 23 off 12 to take the Rockets to a decent total. For the Originals, Kate Cross, Sophie Ecclestone and Hartley claimed two wickets each.

Lee and Lamb began the chase in style. The target allowed Lee to get her eyes set. She made an unbeaten 47 off 45 deliveries. Lamb, more proactive from the start, made 46 in 31 before falling to Georgia Davis.
