England women will take on the South Africa women at the W.A.C.A Ground in Perth in the fourth match of the Women’s T20 World Cup on Sunday. Both are two of the best T20 teams in the world right now and hence, a crackling contest can be expected.

While England bank mostly upon their strong and experienced batters, South Africa are more dependent on their bowlers. The firepower in England’s batting arsenal is immense. However, South Africa have the means in their bowling unit to contain them as well. And they will need to do so for sure as it will become almost impossible for the South African batters to compete with their English counterparts otherwise.

Despite all these things, the spotlight will be on two players particularly throughout the match, and they are none other than Danielle Wyatt and Dane van Niekerk. Both are top-order batters who bowl as well. Not only that, they have an equally good record with both bat and ball.

Niekerk and Wyatt have become the premier players for their sides inspite of the fact that they are only 26 and 28 years of age respectively.

Their records in this format speak for them. While Niekerk has 1776 T20I runs to her name at excellent average of around 30, Wyatt has 1541 runs at an average of over 20 as well. Not only that, she has two centuries under her belt in this format as well.

As far as their bowling numbers are considered, Niekerk has 59 wickets to her name at a mean economy rate of 5.46. Wyatt, on the other hand, has 46 wickets to her name as well and that too, at a superb strike-rate of 17.3.

So, it remains to be seen which among these two players come out on top in this match. A strong performance from either of them will give a massive boost to their respective team’s chances of victory in this match.
