After hitting 89 in the second innings of the first Ashes Test at the Gabba, Joe Root consolidated his position at the top of the runs chart in the World Test Championship 2021-23. Root now has 653 in nine innings. Rohit Sharma (368 in eight innings), Abid Ali (336 in seven), Cheteshwar Pujara (322 in 12), and K.L. Rahul (315 in eight) occupy the next four places.

Most Wickets

With four wickets at the Gabba, Ollie Robinson reduced the gap between him and top-ranked Shaheen Shah Afridi in the wickets chart. Robinson has now 25 wickets in five matches, only three fewer than Shaheen. Ramesh Mendis and Jasprit Bumrah are tied at third place, with 18 wickets each, while Ajaz Patel and Mohammed Siraj are joint fifth, with 17 scalps apiece.
