The fifth Test between India and England has been cancelled after a mutual agreement between both nations. India were unable to field the playing XI after the Covid-19 scare in the camp. Yogesh Parmar, the assistant physiotherapist, tested positive for the virus. The BCCI, however, have offered to reschedule the Test.
India were leading the series with a scoreline of 2-1. They have accrued 54.17% of the points on offer. With 26 points from four games, India they lead the points table of the World Test Championship 2021-23. England, meanwhile are on fourth position. They have won one, lost two, and drawn one match.
In between them, Pakistan and West Indies are respectively positioned at second and places respectively. The two-match series between Pakistan and West Indies ended in a 1-1 draw.
