Zimbabwe will lock horns with Thailand in the first T20I of the three-match series at the Takashinga Cricket Club, Harare, on Friday, 27 August. Earlier, the two teams played four unofficial OD which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Ashley Niradya and Modester Mupachikwa are likely to open the innings for Zimbabwe. They even tried Christabel Chatonzwa as an opener, shifting Mupachikwa to No. 3, but it didn't work out. Josephine Nkomo has been their leading wicket-taker on the tour. She even claimed a five-for in the second OD.
Thailand, on the other hand, are mainly reliant on Nattaya Boochatham, Naruemol Chaiwai and Wongpaka Liengprasert in batting. Chaiwai has been the sole batter to reach the three-figure mark in the series.
