A six-wicket haul from Sajid Khan left Bangladesh reeling at 76/7 at stumps on Day 4. They need another 25 to avoid the follow on after Pakistan declared their innings on 300/5.

Damp conditions prevented timely start of the game, and only 19.3 overs of play was possible in the opening session. Azhar Ali (56) fell to Ebadot Hossain in the second over. Five balls later, Babar Azam (76) was leg-before to Khaled Ahmed.

Fawad Alam (50*) and Mohammad Rizwan (53*) then added an unbroken 103 for the fifth wicket. Pakistan declared as soon as Fawad reached his fifty.

Bangladesh got off to a horrible start, losing their first three wickets for just 22. Shadman Islam (3) and Mahmudul Hasan (0) were undone by Sajid Khan, while Mominul Haque (1) got run out. Najmul Hossain Shanto (30) briefly held the fort. Bangladesh ended the day on 76/7, with Shakib Al Hasan on 23. Nauman Ali (6-35) and Sajid bowled spells of 12 overs each. Shaheen Shah Afridi could only bowl one over in bad light.

Brief scores: Pakistan 300/4 decl. (Babar Azam 76; Taijul Islam 2-73) lead Bangladesh 76/7 (Najmul Hossain Shanto 30; Sajid Khan 6-35) by 224 runs.
