Adelaide Strikers v Melbourne Stars
Match postponed due to Covid-19 outbreak.
Match 39 of the Big Bash League 2021/22 between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Stars was postponed due to a shortage of available players in the Stars camp.
As many as 15 Stars players were expected to get out from isolation on 7 January, but there were uncertainties about whether they would be mentally and physically fit to play the contest after a week's inactivity.
With 10 points from eight matches, the Stars languish at the bottom of the points table. The Strikers are just above them, with 13 points from nine matches.
Earlier, Match 36 of the ongoing competition between Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers was called off as well after 12 Heat players tested positive for Covid-19.
