Brisbane Heat beat Hobart Hurricanes by 14 runs in Match 29 of the Big Bash League 2021/22 at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. The Heat posted 150/8 after being asked to bat, courtesy James Bazley’s unbeaten 27-ball 44, and restricted the Hurricanes to 136/8.

Xavier Bartlett was adjudged Player of the Match for a career-best 4-30. Mujeeb Ur Rahman was as impressive, with 3-20, while Bazley ended with 0-20 in his four overs. D'Arcy Short took 38 balls for his 27, which hit the Hurricanes heavy. Tom Rogers (33* in 20 balls) and Ellis (18 in 10) played aggressively towards the end, but they still fell 14 runs short of the target.
