Quetta Gladiators slipped to their third defeat of the Pakistan Super League 2021/22. They lost to Islamabad United by 43 runs at the National Stadium, Karachi. Chasing 230, they were bowled out for 186.

Alex Hales and Paul Stirling got the United off to a fiery start, adding 55 runs in just four overs. Hales got 22 in 9 balls before being dismissed by James Faulkner, while Stirling made 58 in 28 balls. Colin Munro and Azam Khan then added 93 to lift them from 136/3 in 11.1 overs to 229/4. Azam struck two fours and four sixes in his 35-ball 65, while Munro remained unbeaten on 72.

In response, Abdul Bangalzai and Ahsan Ali added 54 for the opening stand before the latter fell for 14. Ahsan (50) got his fifty before getting out to Shadab Khan, who finished with 5-28 to ensure a comfortable win for Islamabad United.
