Islamabad United registered their third successive victory of the Pakistan Super League 2021/22. They beat Karachi Kings by 42 runs at National Stadium. The Kings could only manage 135 while chasing 178.
The Kings were let down by their top and middle orders. They lost five wickets for just 65. Sharjeel Khan got run out on 7, while Babar Azam got bowled by Mohammad Wasim Jr on 8. Mohammad Nabi remained unbeaten on 47 to take them to 135/9.
For the United, Shadab Khan claimed 4-15 and was adjudged Player of the Match.
Earlier, Alex Hales (30) and Paul Stirling (39) got added 66 runs for the opening stand. Colin Munro (33) and Shadab Khan (34) then chipped in to take Islamabad to 177/6.
